ABOUT THE WILDCATS
Langwarrin Basketball Club started in 2010 through Langwarrin Primary School.
In 2011, through the hard work of some dedicated parents including Darren Bass, Rob Gaze, Linda Ebsworth, and Deb Fox (whose son Alex is still playing for the club), a new club was formed – Langwarrin Wildcats Basketball Club.
The club predominantly operated through Langwarrin Primary School where most of our families came from. This is still the case today with most families associated with the primary school.
We have always been a community-based club and rely on wonderful volunteers that make up our committee, our team managers and coaches.

The club started with a dozen teams across different age groups with approx. 50 children through Frankston District Basketball Association (FDBA) and now the club now has over 50 teams, with over 350 children and adults playing across the FDBA and Western Port Basketball Association.
The club has enjoyed success with many teams winning grand finals and some of our players have been successful in playing representative basketball through Frankston Blues, Western Port and Chelsea Basketball associations.
We are very proud to have many long term players at the club and have recently introduced an award to recognise 10 years as a Wildcats player. The award is to acknowledge their commitment and contribution over the years and celebrate this wonderful achievement.
The club are always looking at ways to improve and welcome any feedback from our members to help the Langwarrin Wildcats to be the best basketball club we can be.
